Discovering My Values: A Personal Journey
Growing up, I was always taught to be a good person. My parents instilled in me the importance of honesty, kindness, and hard work. But as I got older and started navigating the world on my own, I realized that there were so many other values that were important to me too.
But what exactly are values?
Values are principles or beliefs that a person holds to be important and meaningful. They serve as a moral compass, guiding our thoughts, feelings, and actions. Having a clear understanding of your values can help you make decisions that align with your beliefs and live a fulfilling life.

It wasn't until my late-twenties that I took a step back and started thinking about my values. I realized that I had been living my life based on other people's expectations and not my own beliefs. So, I decided to take some time to reflect and figure out what values were most important to me.
It was a journey of self-discovery, but I learned so much about myself in the process. I discovered that I valued spirituality, authenticity, creativity, and empathy. These values became my guiding light and helped me make decisions that aligned with who I truly am and guided me towards setting up my heart and soul aligned business and I can tell you that honestly for the first time in my life I absolutely love what I do and what I stand for because it just feels like me!
Discovering and understanding my values has been a life-changing experience. It has given me a sense of direction and purpose, and has allowed me to live a life that is meaningful and fulfilling. I encourage others to take the time to reflect on their own values and see how they can guide them towards a more fulfilling life.
If we can understand our true core values, this will help when deciding on where to live, what types of friendships we want to have (quality over quantity) and even the types of romantic partners we want to have. Don't worry if you stumble or make mistakes through this process, its all a learning game! And don't forget we grow and change a lot throughout life so maybe you might completely hang your perspective and views in a couple of years! Life is a journey and we grow and change our values many times on our way but being aware of what is important to us can really help as a guiding compass to lead the way!
